Welcome to the official site of the Stratfield Volunteer Fire Department, located in Fairfield Connecticut.
The Stratfield Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1920. Currently, we have a total of 80 social and active
members.
Our active members work directly with the career members of the Fairfield Fire Department, manning our rescue truck,
Rescue #15, seven days a week beginning at 6pm. We also provide first aid and other services for various townwide
functions such as the Fairfield Firefighter's Half Marathon, and various local carnivals and fairs.
Our Active members regularly attend ongoing training and drills, and are required to staff/ride Rescue 15 one evening per
week. Active members are also required to be State of Connecticut certified as a minimum of Firefighter I; Healthcare Provider CPR; Vehicle Extrication; and Haz-Mat Operations. Please visit our Membership
page for more information.
Please feel free to look around our "Home on the Web" and email us with any questions/comments that you have.
